Evaluative Workshop for interdiac Learning Programme ‘Peace Bulding for Convivial Life together’
Evaluative Workshop for interdiac Learning Programme ‘Peace Bulding for Convivial Life together’ took place in Warsaw (Poland) in January 23-26, 2023. The Programme participants and leaders came together to reflect on the learning in the Programme and post-programmatic regular supervision meetings of the group. This group meeting was marked with the joy of common gathering since it was the first face-to-face event for the participants. Before this, the pandemic of Covid-19 and the military aggression in Ukraine built the barriers to coming together. The Workshop was taking place in the comfortable athmosphere of the Diaconal Center of Polish Lutheran Church. The participants reflected and worked together on the themes of identity of a peacemaker, how it can be seen in everyday life and developed through the challenges of today. Learning with interdiac was marked as integrative, empowering and supportive. The participants emphasised such specific enhancing learning tools as biographical reflections, sharing stories, building supportive networking of peers and professionals, introduced thematic inputs and continuous Biblical and theological reflections on the peace as ‘shalom’, which should be sought and implemented in everyday life. In the brief summary of one participant, the peace starts with the inner personal peace that can be developed through strengthening the community and breaking the bread with enemies for convivial life of all. This year interdiac plans to make new steps in development of this theme and vision.
