Agnese Mikne - My visit in Finland
From 7.-14.May, I was visiting a church called the parish of Oulu Cathedral, which is part of the evangelical church of Finland. In this city I had opportunity to see and explore many interesting activities and I could be a part of meetings that they were having. One of most beautiful things I experienced was that they have a service for toddlers and in the small church near the Cathedral, they have activities with a Christian theme. The meetings that I experienced, and which were very important were about work with the youth. It was interesting to hear many ideas and meet Terhi-Liisa’s co-workers. They are doing fantastic work.
It was heart-warming to meet with Terhi-Liisa’s youth group. They are wonderful young people who already have a big plan for their life. Because of her birthday, to which we were invited, it was possible to hear singing of one of young people. He has a future! I’m thankful for the love that Terhi-Liisa spreads around all the time. I felt this when she was in Latvia and when we were in Oulu. The place where we were staying was wonderful and I remember the feeling when Terhi-Liisa invites you to her home and makes fantastic dinner for you…indeed, my heart was melting.
So, this was very important experience to have, to see the work that others are doing, to exchange experience to gain some new ideas.
